Being a sparky has it’s moments, like when the old alternator started to die and a new one from Nissan was over $400!

Needing a larger amperage unit moving forward, I opted for an EF Ford Falcon 110 Amp alternator from a Melbourne supplier for $185. This was a brand new unit.
I had to swap the front pulley from my original alternator and have a 13mm long spacer machined so the pulley’s aligned. I also remove the existing external regulator.

An FIA battery switch in the cabin enables the battery and engine to be cut in the event of a problem. Eventually I will move the battery to the boot.
